TV Quote Weekends
"Harry, I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Every day, once a day, give yourself a present. Don't plan it. Don't wait for it. Just let it happen. It could be a new shirt at the men's store, a catnap in your office chair, or two cups of good, hot black coffee."

Whachoo talkin' bout, Maggie?!?
In the seventh season of Diff'rent Strokes, Mr. Drummond marries Maggie, a widow with a young boy played by Dixie Carter.

With ratings dropping, however, NBC decided to cancel the show. Believing that to be the end, Ms. Carter looked for greener pastures. A last minute reprieve from ABC saved the show from cancellation, meaning that the producers had to recast the role of Maggie Drummond. They found their new Maggie in Mary Ann Mobley. The show continued to underperform on ABC and was eventually cancelled; this time for good.

A 227 Reunion
When Southland reunited Marla Gibbs and Regina King from 227, the writers threw in a few winks to the audience.
During their initial encounter, they don't share much time together. However, Regina's character begins to question Marla's lucidity. During their second encounter, Marla Gibbs refers to Regina as "Brenda" and wonders where "Curtis" is. On 227, Regina's character was named "Brenda" and had a boyfriend named "Curtis". A nice little nod to the audience.

Canceled!- "Co-Ed Fever"
After the success of Animal House, Hollywood rushed to take advantage. All three of the major networks put clones into production, including CBS which produced Co-Ed Fever.
The plan was for the show to have a special premiere, then move to its regular time slot after much fanfare.
Classy!
The show was a bore and its ratings were minuscule. CBS canceled all plans to continue the show, canceling it after just one airing.

Good Morning USA!
"Good morning USA,
I've got a feeling that it's gonna be a wonderful day,
The sun in the sky has a smile on his face,
And he's shining a salute to the American race,
