Rest in Peace, Natalie Cole

Natalie Cole, daughter of legendary singer Nat "King" Cole has passed away at the age of 65. Her father was a trailblazer, becoming the first African-American host of a television show, a show in which Ms. Cole was occasionally featured. His show was short lived due to skittish sponsors who were afraid of offending racist southern viewers.

In the 1970's Ms. Cole became a star in her own right, conquering the same record charts her father did decades earlier. She then became a consistent presence on television, booking guest starring roles on various TV shows.

In recent years, her pace slowed as her health became an increasing issue for her. Her vibrant voice and positive personality will be missed by her millions of fans.
