When The Golden Girls was in its initial pre-production, the famous actresses who became America's favorite Girls had different ideas about which of the characters they should play. Betty White sought the role of Blanche Devereaux. Rue McClanahan wanted to play Rose Nylund. Beatrice Arthur thought Sophia Petrillo would be the best part for her. Luckily, the show's producers disagreed and eventually convinced the ladies to take the roles they seemed destined to play.

The Simpsons has been a staple of television for 26 years. It seemingly will never end. Of course, it will most likely end some day, yet the show has never had to worry about ending, right? Actually, the end almost came in 2011. The network hadn't come to an agreement with the voice staff and the producers had to figure out a way for the show to end in case it wouldn't continue, yet keep things going in case it did get renewed. They did this with the episode that took place in the future- Holidays of Future Passed.

The 1980's mystery drama Remington Steele was beloved but ratings challenged. It was consistently on the bubble and by its fourth season, NBC had decided to cancel the show. Debonair star Pierce Brosnan had always been on the short list for James Bond, and now that his television show was ending, he seized the opportunity to move to the big screen in one of Hollywood's most sought after roles. After he was announced as the new James Bond, NBC was thrilled and resurrected the show, using a contractural obligation written into the talent's contracts to bring them back. Angry, the producers of the James Bond series rescinded its offer and gave the James Bond role to Timothy Dalton instead. Co-Star Stephanie Zimbalist also lost a role in Robocop due to the late renewal. With Pierce Brosnan out as James Bond, NBC was no longer interested in th show, cancelling it again after season five. Pierce would, of course, eventually become James Bond years later.
